I just finished my eightieth shirt in the past two years. To celebrate, I added a running log of my fashion creations.
I've never enjoyed shopping. Being tall, I rarely find anything that fits, and very few of those are even slightly interesting. It occurred to me that making my own would solve all of those issues!
Shirts were a good place to start. Most shirt construction is based on a two-piece collar, a yoke, and button front. I started with a cheap pattern (McCalls 2447) that covered those aspects, and started modifying from there.
I've enjoyed making fun things for myself, family, and friends. My favorite shirt is usually the most recent one, but these ones never fail to brighten the day!
